Book translation “Basel in Portraits”

For Basel-based photographer Lucia Hunziker, I translated her photography book from German into English. The book features portraits and stories of around 40 prominent Basel residents. The translation required sensitivity to tone, rhythm and personal narrative. I worked closely together with the author to ensure that the artistic voice remained intact while making the text accessible to an international audience.

Over several years, I also translated Lucia Hunziker’s newsletters into English so she could share her exhibitions, projects and artistry with readers in not only Switzerland, but also abroad.
